This site is not about how to get free food, but how to give free food! The Hunger Site is the world's first online activism site. FILExt - File Extensions Search
When you click on a file type that Windows XP does not know how to open or an audio or video file that won't play, a dialog appears asking if you want to search the Internet for a program. And they suggests you come to FILExt to do the search. A file extension is nothing more than the last characters after the period in the name of a file. FILExt is a database of file extensions and the various programs that use them. If you know the file extension you want to learn about simply enter it into the search box and click on the Search button. If it's not in any of the databases they will give a link to a page with hints on how to do further research.
